The Largest Futsal Competition in Indonesia POCARI SWEAT Futsal Championship 2018 Ready to be held
Pocari Sweat holds the 9th Futsal Championship and gets full support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia.
Jakarta, November 13, 2018 – Pocari Sweat held the press conference of 9th Pocari Sweat Futsal Championship in the Sultan Hotel – Jakarta. The event was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia Mr.Imam Nahrawi and Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka Mr.Ricky Suhendar. The Pocari Sweat Futsal Championship has the same theme as the previous years, “Be The Next Athlete” to burn the spirit of futsal athletes all over the country.
Pocari Sweat Futsal Championship 2018 is the largest high school futsal competition in Indonesia, held in 43 cities with regional match selection process and continued with national matches, and ended with the Grand Championship to be held in Solo, Central Java on November 16 – 18, 2018. This event hosts tens of thousands of high school students across Indonesia to be able to channel their talents through a national-level futsal competition.
“This futsal competition has been screened by talented athletes who come from students in Indonesia, this is a great achievement and it is worth to be held as an event that can capture the young generation in Indonesia. This is in line with the vision of Pocari Sweat to be able to make professional athletes in the future”, said Ricky Suhendar as Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka at the Press Conference.
Since it was held 9 years ago, this event has been supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (KEMENPORA) and as one of the competitions for the KEMENPORA trophy, the enthusiasm of the Pocari Sweat Futsal Championship has been increasing every year, this is evidenced by the ever increasing number of participating schools. In 2017, this competition has been attended by 773 schools and has increased to 898 schools in 2018. In addition, Pocari Sweat Futsal Championship 2018 is a largest futsal event in Indonesia that has given talented athletes like Ardiansyah Runtuboy, Rio Pangestu and other futsal athletes.
“We from KEMENPORA greatly appreciate the initiative made by Pocari Sweat related to this Futsal Championship, this is the basis of KEMENPORA to continue to support this event since its inception. It can be said this initiative is very positive because through this event Pocari Sweat is able to make athletes who are currently incorporated into the Futsal National Team such as Ardiansyah Runtuboy, Rio Pangestu and others. I hope not only Pocari Sweat, but all parties must be involved in supporting Indonesia in the future to be able to have outstanding children and the Pocari Sweat Futsal Championship can continue to be the place to create competent athletes in the future”, said Imam Nahrawi as Minister of youth and sports.
