The Largest Run Event in West Java: POCARI SWEAT Bandung West Java Marathon Successful Held by Involving 8.000 Runner

POCARI SWEAT repeat the success that was achieved last year. Still in the same theme that is #SAFERUNNING, 8000 runners can run safely while enjoying the tourism icons of Bandung.

Bandung, 22 July 2018 – POCARI SWEAT BANDUNG WEST JAVA MARATHON was successfully held today. 8,000 runner participated from various regions in indonesia as well as international. Started in front of the Gedung Sate Bandung, Mr. Muhamad Iriawan as person in charge of West Java Governor and Mr. Mochamad Ridwan Kamil as the mayor of Bandung releasing runners as the official sign of the largest marathon.

There are 4 categories of mileage that can be selected by runners, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon. Runners are not only from Indonesia, but there are 13 other countries that participate in this event, they are from Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, India, Canada, France, Germany, Phillipine, Serbia, Thailand, United States of America and England. The success POCARI SWEAT BANDUNG WEST JAVA MARATHON looked of increasing number of participants and also increase in foreigners who participated in the event. Recorded from 2017 data about 6.500 runners participate and this year increased to 8.000 runners.

“POCARI SWEAT BANDUNG WEST JAVA MARATHON which is fully supported by the government of West Java, not only to exercise but also in expect to increase the economic sector and tourism of Bandung. On the other hand with the existence of this event is also expected to raise public awareness of the importance of having a healthy lifestyle”, said Muhamad Iriawan as person in charge of West Java Governor.

By put forward the #SAFERUNNING and sufficient hydration points, POCARI SWEAT wants all participants to avoid from injury while running. The hydration points was spread every 1.5 – 2.5 KM to ensure the runner is well hydrated.

On this occasion POCARI SWEAT BANDUNG WEST JAVA MARATHON provided a special edition medals for finisher pictured of the “Pandawa Lima” character which illustrated the meaning of figure philosophy,  adapted to each category chosen by runners.

“We are very happy for this event and of course from the support of the West Java provincial government , the government of Bandung city as well as all parties who have been to help the success of the event.
